Still Time To Shop

Good morning!

Today's creation is a simple one. With twenty-five days left, there is STILL TIME TO SHOP! But. It will go quickly. I have so much to do still!

Of course, the creation is another combination of kaleis.

My son leaves for his cruise today. I am sure he's excited. His marriage will take place next week! Congrats to the soon-to-be married ones!

Work is very busy right now. I just want to get through the day.

Have a great Friday. Back tomorrow with a new post.

Patterns For Fun

Good morning,

A little pattern fun for this morning.

We are expecting sunshine today, and that's something we haven't seen much of this week.

We have cold and wind. We are expecting a little warmer, but blustier winds.

Have a really great Thursday.

Back tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Card

Good morning!

A little creation that can be saved to your computer and printed out on white card stock and cut down for a birthday card.

Most of this was made by making a ball, and using 3 layers of cutouts, each a different hue, then merging and doing kaleidoscopes.

I am finally caught up at work getting all the daily work out. Today, I need to get my spreadsheets caught up for all the work that has come back in!

I expect to see another batch of daily work come in, and of course, we are gearing up to close for the month.

I got a call at work yesterday that was scarey. My middle son, the one leaving for a cruise Friday and his wedding on a beach in Cozemel, MX, had to be taken to the hospital yesterday. His first thought was "Am I having a heart attack?"

My daughter called because my ex-husband was on the phone with him. They wanted to know my family history. I told my daughter to remind my ex that he had taken me to the hospital way back in my late thirties with the same symptoms, but that it turned out to NOT be my heart. I do not have heart disease running in my family, thank God.

After many tests, they released my son. I talked with him last night, and he was at home napping when I called. I felt bad waking him, but he said, "No mom. I'm glad you called."

Seems he had seen his doctor the day before all this, for numbness in his arm. His doctor recommended that he switch all the gear he carries on the shuttle to work to his other arm occasionally or lighten the load. My son had already considered that as well, but wanted to get checked out BEFORE leaving this Friday.

Of course, he was on the shuttle when he started feeling really bad the next morning. Why is it, when we all have something come on us, that we then wonder if we should create a scene by asking for help or an ambulance? I know ... it happened to me when I was choking at lunch several months ago. We worry about asking for help and creating a scene when we are assuredly already creating a scene because we know we are in trouble.

He did ask the shuttle driver if she knew where the nearest hospital was. She did not. He got on his cell and called his doctor who asked him some questions. He got off the shuttle at work, and was feeling worse still. The doctor told him to go inside and get someone to call an ambulance. He ended up calling one himself on his cell phone.

I do hope he is okay. I'm hoping it's just stress. A lot has been going on his in life this year, and a lot of changes are taking place. When I had my problems, it was stress. That, I think, he inherited from his mom. (Who doesn't have stress in their life these days?)

I hope you all have a wonderful "stress-free" hump day!

Back tomorrow.

Three Pictures on a Wall

Good morning,

Another experiment with picture frames. And kaleis as their subject.

Fun and easy -- but everyone displays pictures around their house.

My first day back at work was busy, busy, busy. I knew it would be. We should be back to full staff today, and that will be nice.

And, we have a new person on staff, although she will be in orientation all this week. And then the training begins.

Have a terrific Tuesday. Back tomorrow.

Monkey Business

Good morning!

I've been working on this little monkey. Harder than I expected.

And yes! My vacation is over ... so it's back to my desk and phones this morning. And a week's worth of daily work that should be sitting on my desk.

It is going to be a busy week!

They are predicting snow for today. We've had some snowflakes over the last week, but they melted as soon as they hit. It is cold enough for the water to form some ice in the water dish outside for the wild kitties.

Hope you have a good Monday. It's going to be a F-A-S-T week!

See you tomorrow.

November 2007's last Sunday

Good morning!

Just a fun little flower for this morning. Just think! November is almost over!

My granddaughter spent the weekend at her dads. She is due back sometime today. They will drop her at my house.

My daughter went to Kentucky for Saturday and Sunday. Taylor was going, but last minute plans popped up ... for her ... that dashed her hopes of going. But she will get another chance ... at Christmas.

Her dad will be in Africa working till February. What would be nice is ... to see him actually pay his child support! And, he's expecting a NEW child. Don't get me started. It burns me up. Ohio laws don't do much in helping get child support.

My son and future daughter-in-law are leaving for their wedding cruise on November 30th: Friday. Friday is also my step-daughter's birthday. "Happy birthday, Shay!" She expecting a new baby girl in January!

My son, John, and Hillary will be married while they're on their cruise. Unfortunately, my son will not have any his family on hand. The expense was too great for us. My daughter and I will do our shopping together, but she thinks we should wait till AFTER they return from their trip. What a wonderful way to choose and ship a gift!!!

I have a rant today. Earlier this year, I mentioned that I bought a book that I saw on tv. It was Kevin Trudeau's The Weight Loss Cure book. Unfortunately, I did not do any searches on him. All I can say is, DON'T buy his book! It is nothing you haven't heard elsewhere, and it is costly and involves "exercise".

When you call to order, they offer you all these FREE one-time items. I did not order any of them and said that I do not order anything that I have to call to stop processing of my credit card. (A website does NOT count in this category.)

With the book, I got a free MONTHLY newsletter. You guessed it! They process your credit card every month for $9.95 for this newsletter. If you buy the book; the hook comes with it. Talk about nervy! (What's more is, I only received the free newsletter -- until Friday -- when the new one showed up! And, it was shown as being mailed out AFTER I wrote every single address on it to cancel it. So you see, once the book is ordered; stopping the charges is almost impossible.)

Had I done my research by checking online, I would have learned this particular problem with this company.

I went through the complaint form with my credit card company. Unfortunately, on my bill, I see that this newsletter tried to charge their monthly fee again. But! Ahhh! A credit for the $9.95 I already paid, and another credit for the new $9.95.

Thank you, Bank of America.

I am swearing off tv informercials. Due to companies as mentioned above, it's just too much trouble.

What I would like to see? An on-line comment form -- where you pay your bill, if you bank on line -- so you can go in and state: "Yes. I ordered this, but did NOT agree to any further business at this point." OR "No. I did not purchase this." OR "Yes. I ordered this, and it will be a monthly charge until I comment differently."

I was prepared to drop this credit card, if need be. I'm glad I don't have to do so, since I've had it for a long time.

Hope you have a terrific Sunday!

Back tomorrow ... in a better frame of mind!

Cute notes // Logged Out Message

Good morning to you all!

I assume you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

I made these two creations for today. The first is a note card. My own copy has "from the desk of Cj" underneathe the second kalei on the left. Just one way to brighten up your notes to others.

The little owl is a kalei. The flower in his hand and stem is also a kalei. The others ... are plainly recognized as kaleis.

This second little creation is the same owl and flower, but this time I can save it as a screen saver. Or printed out, it can be left on my computer screen while I'm away from my desk.

I spent a lot of yesterday cleaning out my office. Shredding old papers and mail offers. It's time to put a little order back into "my cave".

I also cancelled an old website yesterday. I hadn't worked on it for over a year, and it seemed ridiculous to be spending a monthly charge to keep it up.

When I do another website, it will be for graphics. Hopefully, sometime next year.

I hope everyone has a really terrific Saturday.

Back tomorrow!

Black Friday

Good morning,

It's that FRIDAY after Thanksgiving known as Black Friday. The stores open early, and people head out to start or continue their Christmas shopping. Sales! Sales! Sales!

It's a day I don't go out to shop as I hate crowds.

But in honor of today, I made this little creation.

While I still have the weekend left, this is my last vacation day for this week. I've enjoyed it! When I get back to work next week, I will be blitzed with a weeks worth of work that has surely stacked up on my desk.

And now the countdown. Counting today: 33 days till Christmas!

In between lies my son's wedding date as well as my husband's birthday. My husband will also make a 24-hour trip to Wisconsin for some business.

Have a great day! Happy shopping! Back tomorrow!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Good morning,

Ahhh! Many will be up this morning, busily working in their kitchens to prepare a feast for all their families. I do remember those days.

Houses made ready, hopefully yesterday, so the full focus can be on the meal. Most turkeys are thawed by now. If yours is not, good luck!

This creation is for today, showing sisters together. Many nieces and nephews will come together today also.

I know my granddaughter will meet up with cousins today. There are two she doesn't get to see often coming in, as well as a third "new" cousin.

As for hubby and me, it is another day of rest. Homestyle Buffet is perfect for us since our families are scattered about. This is our third year to go it alone. There are many that will join that line at the buffet.

Have a great day. Enjoy your families. Enjoy your food.

I'll be back tomorrow!

Doodle Peep 2

Good morning!

This is another doodle peep from the same sheet of scribbles I had from yesterday.

What is he? Not sure. Just comical.

It's just fun!

I'm sure everyone is gearing up for Thanksgiving. I will choose a day between Thanksgiving and Christmas to celebrate with my own family. My daughter is headed to Kentucky to be with Dan's family. My granddaughter is heading to her dad's for the weekend. Both will be with my ex's family for tomorrow.

My oldest son is heading to his girlfriend's home, and my middle son lives in MA with his financee. They are getting married next month on a cruise. He only comes home every other year around Taylor's birthday.

My husband and I will head to Homestyle Buffet for a meal. It has become a tradition with us. Before then, he would cook the entire Thanksgiving meal. It is a lot of work, and a lot of food for just two.

Have a great day! Back tomorrow!

Doodle Peep 1

Good morning!

This is just a little creation made from scribbles.

You all know how much I love kaleidoscopes, which I call kaleis. I've talked about my seeing pictures in them, and often start a creation because of one of those pictures.

I've also talked about scribbling to find drawings before as well as laying on your back and looking at the clouds to find pictures.

While reading my recent book, I've discovered that I must be fairly right-brained which is your creative side, while the left is analytical. I use my left for doing my accounting work, but my right-side is extremely enabled as well.

That is why I like kaleis, clouds, and scribbles.

I've drawn over the years, and somewhere around my house, I have a stash of scribble drawings before learning psp. Some of them were just amusing, but some were really good!

If you never tried any of these methods, give it a try. I love them.

Have a really terrific Tuesday. Back tomorrow.

Oh Snap! It's Monday!

Good morning,

Well ... it is Monday ... and normally, I'd be getting ready for work in about an hour. But, this Monday is my first day of vacation. I made this little creation for other non-vacation Monday's.

This little creature is from a book. I bought a copy of Drawing For Dummies. It's a wonderful book with lots of lessons and advice.

I also joined DrawSpace where I can learn even more.

I need to head to the grocery this morning as I let it go this weekend. I know it will be less crowded this morning, so I should be able to get through that very quickly.

Have a great Monday morning. Back tomorrow.

Flowers For Sunday

Good morning!

This was a little flower creation I was playing with on Saturday morning. It's just for fun!

Taylor spent Friday night and all day Saturday with me. We were very busy girls.

We went to Michael's Craft Store yesterday to look at buttons. I was aiming for a Joann Fabrics, but couldn't find it. And I've been wanting to go to Michael's. In fact, I may go back today!

Tay has a little bunny that her other grandparents gave her. It no longer has eyes on it.

Yesterday, she brought bunny to me because she'd managed to get chocolate as well as green magic marker on her ear and arm. She was a mess. She wanted me to wash her.

The bunny has a few beans in her bottom while the rest appears to be stuffing. This bunny has been around awhile. The eyes are gone, but it is Taylor's most favorite "take along" possession. She sleeps with bunny.

I was afraid the beans would swell, and eventally mold, if I washed her. I did not want to do that much damage to Tay's most-loved creature.

We took a little soap and water and with a toothbrush, used only for cleaning small crevices of dishes, we scrubbed her. The green magic marker on her ear spread into a large green-looking area that now covered most of her ear.

Many years ago, I used Melaleuca products. I still had some cleaning spray I used, and believe it or not, everything came off. No green whatsoever! Miss Bunny looked much better! We were very careful NOT to get her too wet.

Taylor then informed me that she needed new eyes. And that is why we went shopping.

Tay found a bag of maybe 50 buttons and decided they were perfect, even though we only needed two.

She also had to have a circular sparkly thing as a crown for bunny. It turned out to be too big for her head, but made a marvelous skirt.

We poured the buttons all over the floor upon arriving home. Oh, they were delightful buttons, and Mamaw had as much fun as Taylor did playing with them.

Tay choose buttons for a necklace first. Oh my! This project was growing. So, with some yarn, I made Miss Bunny a flower necklace. Tay laid it out how she wanted it. We did have to make a small change, but Tay was very happy with the end result.

Then she had 2 teddy bear buttons, and she wanted those sewn on the big floppy ears at the top where a bow would go. Oh well, it's her bunny. (She had asked me on the way to the store if she would get to make the decision on her bunny's buttons. I had said, "Of course. It's YOUR bunny!)

Then there were two sizes of red hearts. She brought me a large one and a smaller one. She wanted one on the upper right of her left side, and the smaller diagonally lower than the first. I asked her, "Two hearts?"

"Oh yes!", she said. "The first is to show that the bunny loves me. The second is my heart showing I love bunny back!" It made perfect sense to me, and so on went the two buttons. Again, she was pleased.

She chose two pink buttons for her eyes. When Miss Bunny was done, I said, "Well. Miss Bunny has certainly had a big day: a complete MAKEOVER!"

Tay was very happy with her makeover Miss Bunny, and she thanked me many times for my efforts to please her. She did mention that she wasn't as comfortable as she was before, but she was much prettier! Oh yes. We female creatures often pay a big price for beauty!

We spent the day doing this project, and that evening, we had popcorn as we watch the new movie: Ratatouille. Delightful movie.

It was a very good day, and very busy! A lot of fun!

I hope you have a great Sunday! Back tomorrow.

Party Invite

Good morning,

Perhaps you're having a holiday get-together for family and friends. Here's a little party invite that I put together. Use it, if you wish.

This is a time for family, for the blessings we receive from each other are priceless. Each member is precious to us, as we are to each member.

It is a time of thanksgiving.

A time to remember those who are no longer with us, but whose memories still live within our hearts and minds. A time to share those memories with each other, and celebrate the impact of all those lives as well as all those still with us.

Remember "to be a blessing" to others in your life.

Have a really great Saturday. I will be back tomorrow -- to post again.

A Yellow-Striped Fish

Good morning,

This creation was done while playing around yesterday afternoon. The flowers on the ocean floor were kaleis made from the spots on the underside of the fish. So was the floor of the ocean, the sand, etc.

It was a fun little exercise.

I don't always know the final outcome of what I'm creating. It just kind of "flows" together as I go.

Yesterday was busy. My health insurance is expiring so it is open season to find another. We had a health fair so I picked up info on other providers, which took over an hour to do.

I left for the pizza party at an area park's lodge around 11:30 a.m. Tommy's Pizza, a big favorite of east-end Columbus people, was served. We had several salads, and lot of desserts. The party was a big hit. We had a nice fire in the fireplace as our weather was cold yesterday. We had a light rain that was pretty solid. Some called it snow. It was "almost" snow.

My children grew up on Tommy's Pizza, which was about 1 block from where we lived for several years. If you're on the Northwest side of Columbus, people love Rotolo's, which has finally branched out around Columbus. In fact, they have a place within 5 minutes of my current home.

It's Friday, and my last day before my vacation! I have two days of daily work on my desk, and one day is fairly large. I may or may not be able to get it done before I leave today. It depends on how busy the phones are.

We are looking down the barrel at Thanksgiving, and lots of people will travel home.

Have a great Friday. Back tomorrow.

Take Your Vacations

Good morning,

A very quick post this morning. Using kaleis.

I read in Woman's World that more than 30% of Americans don't take all their vacation time. They said that is 574 million paid vacation days that never get used!!!

I'll take some of that!

As you know, my vacation time is coming up.

I like my job since I can work overtime for pay, or I can work it for more time off. I do a little of both. While extra money never hurts, the time off definitely helps.

If you're NOT taking your vacations, why not schedule some time for the near future. You may be important to your job, but if you were gone tomorrow, someone else would do that job.

Who wants to see on their tombstone: "She was busy, busy, busy! She really worked hard for her job!"?

Today, I am attending our annual pizza party with our department. It starts at 11:30 a.m. I am taking a shrimp and crab salad that my husband prepared. "Thanks, honey!"

I go to these events because it's one way our department head recognizes us for the good job we do. And, it's a good time to get to know and talk with others you may not work as closely with. Always good.

Have a great Thursday. Back tomorrow!

Little Fairy

Good morning,

The creation this morning is another try at fairies. I find the wings to be extremely difficult. I had another pair, but didn't like them at all when they were finished. These were better.

I often think of my granddaughter when doing girls. She loves pink, and I used pink on this dress for her.

The bougquet she holds is a kalei.

Even though yesterday started with rain, the day turned out sunny and just gorgeous! What a perfect day it was.

I am looking at 3 days until my vacation. So much to do in so little time. This will be a hard month, as so many will be taking vacation for the holidays. The workload increases at this time of year, while the days to do it are actually less. Next month will be the same.

Have a really great Wednesday! Back tomorrow.

Monster Mommy

Good morning,

Moms do a hard job. Most of them are on their kids to "clean your room." I've said it to my own children, and I've said it to my granddaughter.

This is from the child's point of view. How do they see us when we're trying to teach them some order of things?

This mom had it's base from a kalei I made. I played here and there, and this evolved. Originally, she had a totally different body, but I decided I didn't like it. So, I made her a different one.

It is raining in Columbus. We have had rain off and on for several days, and it looks like it's going to be rainy week.

Four days to work till the weekend, and my vacation all next week. Hope it goes fast. I'm sure it will.

Have a great day. Back tomorrow.

Lone Flower Art

Good Monday Morning!

It is Veteran's Day today! I am off from work, making this the 4th day off for me.

I go back tomorrow, and I will work for 4 days, and then I will be off all next week for the holiday.

What a wonderful time of year.

This creation features one lone flower. I played with effects for a long time till I decided it was finished.

Here's hoping you have a good, and productive Monday.

See you tomorrow.

Animated Envelope Invitation

Good morning,

An animated envelope for invites.

There's just no getting around it. There is blurr on the animation, even though I've used photobucket to put it in. (My blogger will not let me link directly to my computer). Maybe the size or having 2 animations going at the same time are too much for blogger.

I've checked the animation in my Animation shop, and there are no lines at all behind the words that light up.

Oh well. Here it is.

Have a great Sunday!

Invitations for the Holidays

Good morning,

This post was for Saturday morning, which was yesterday.

With the holidays coming, you might want a little art to invite friends and family over.

This would make a pretty front for a card.

Saturday is over, and it was a good day.

Back in a moment with a gif post for today.

Sig Tags

Good morning @ 10:04 a.m.!

As you know, I am off from work today. I have a little "me-time" to just play with my artwork. This is probably one of the most enjoyable things I do for myself.

People always want sig tags, so this morning, I was just playing around, and came up with this.

Of course, the flower around the sig as well as the small daisies are kaleis.

I spend a lot of time looking at other people's artwork. I see many things I like. Looking at other creations gives me ideas. I start to think, "Hey! What if I tried this ... or that?"

And off I go. This creation started with one layer flooded with black. The second layer was some lines of different widths and different colors, but mostly bright or pastels. I then decided to put a white shadow on another layers.

Staying only on the shadow layer, I selected the shadow with my selection tool -- circle -- and began kaleidoscoping it. It is hard to see the designs because I have NOT merged the layers, so only the white is kalei'd on a clear background. Many times, I hit okay after I find something I like. After saying ok, the new kalei is easily visible on the black layer. If I don't like it, or want to make it smaller or larger, I just hit undo, and start again.

I then went to the line color layer, leaving my selection tool active, and began kalei-ing it. It's easier to see because it has color. Once I find one I really like, I merge the two I just created together, and kalei it. The selection tool is left on all through this.

It's amazing what colors come up. And designs.

I hope you're having a wonderful Friday. I am.

Back tomorrow (if not sooner). I am playing today, you know.

Here Kitty, Kitty

Good morning,

Tried my hand at this kitty.

I am off today, so I'll have some time to do some artwork earlier than normal.

We had some very light snow this last week, which felt more like more solid rain drops. They are predicting more of the same for today and Saturday.

On the radio, I heard the announcer say, "People are wanting to know when this cold weather will stop." I'm thinking, "When it will stop? We're only just beginning! It's late fall ... and we're heading into winter!!!" People are funny.

Have a great Friday. Back tomorrow.

Starry nights stationary

Good morning,

Here's a little stationary page you can print out and use, if you wish.

I have a few.

I use "post it" notes all day long. I use them for tabs to separate different tasks and records. I use them to alphabetize my files.

On mine, I've added a date line, and on the bottom center of it, I've added my name, so when I leave a post it note, people know who left it.

They are great fun as well as being extremely functional.

Today is my Friday. I have the next four days off, so I will work hard today. I will only have to work four days next week (Veteran's Day is Monday), and then I have the week of Thanksgiving off, along with my husband.

Make it a great Thursday! I'll see you tomorrow.

Two tubes together and Countdown To Christmas

Good morning!

I was behind yesterday morning, and had some things to get ready for work, so missed my post. So here are the three creations for yesterday: Wednesday.

I posted these two tubes separately for Monday and Tuesday, and put them together for today's post.

I added a bow to the little table, and put in a background.

And the count down begins. I hear it on the radio as well. Of course, Thanksgiving is much closer still. And Black Friday, which is the biggest shopping day of the year. I don't usually join the crowd on that day. It's just too busy.(But! If you're one who loves this day, there is a website you can go to to check out mega-sales and early-bird specials: www.theblackfriday.com.)

Yesterday was busy with our birthday party. We had so much food left, we're reheating and having it again today.

And these two creations are kaleis. It is several that were put together. I did it twice, with two different backgrounds. It would be pretty with a Christmas scene or family picture in the middle.

A pretty scene with snow falling (animation) would be quite pretty, too.

I was reading the other day, and something that is good for arthritis is ... almonds! And they're also great for your skin. A few almonds a day can give you a nice glow.

I eat nuts every day. Almonds are among them as well as brazil nuts. And I usually have a little peanut butter with a cut up apple as a snack. Add 4 dried apricots to 10 plain almonds to help your energy levels. It's a great combination.

A good nut to help your blood pressure is the cashew.

And nuts are a great choice over potato chips as they have a lower gi (glycemic index). For a list of choices: www.glycemicindex.com.

Many years ago, the experts believed that eating nuts -- was nuts. We used to say, "You have to be nuts to eat nuts."

Today, "It's okay to be nuts about nuts!" But they are high in calories, so eating too many can cause you to gain weight. I like to think of nuts as little powerhouses. They are small, so only eat a few. A little goes a long way!

Have a really great day. Back in a minute to post for today!

The Holidays Are Almost Here!

Good morning!

This is a tube I made for the coming of Christmas. Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?

All of the small tree was made with kaleis. And the flower on the tree pot is a kalei.

The table started with the legs. It was an experiment, and I liked the finished effect. To me, it looked like table legs, so I created a table starting with them.

It is a free tube, so if you want it, go ahead and take it. With a good program like PSP (Paint Shop Pro), you can edit or personalize it.

While my husband still has two days off left, I didn't take leave yet. I had forgotten that Monday is Veteran's Day. If I take Thursday and Friday, or just Friday, I could make my time off more of a 4 or 5 day adventure. And, I still have some things to wrap up.

Laugh ... I can hear my co-workers now, "It will be here when you get back." Ah! Yes, it will, but I don't want to feel buried under it. Even though we've haven't closed our month yet, new daily business is coming in, so I'm getting a quick jump on it now. There is always SO MUCH to do.

Snow flurries were predicted for this morning. I will have to switch from my sandals to actual foot-covering shoes now. This is an exercise I hate. My feet like the freedom of sandals.

Have a really great Tuesday. I'll be back tomorrow.

Anticipating the Holidays

Good morning,

This morning, I am posting just one tube. This is an excited little boy. And he's excited because the holidays are approaching, very quickly.

If you would like to pick him to use for your own creation, go ahead. He is free to use.

Today is going to be a good day. We've got all our daily work out to the techs, and I'm tying up loose ends today. I hope to take tomorrow off, and maybe even Wednesday.

Being Monday, we may be short-staffed.

My husband has off the next three days, which he solely needs. He was unable to attend his aunts funeral last week, as his company, would not give him the day off. Needless to say, he was not happy about this, as so many others have taken their days for attending their funerals. His company handbook said it allowed 1 day, with 1/2 hours notice, given for aunts. My husband is very family-oriented, and he loved his aunt.

Have a great Monday! Back tomorrow.

Happy Birthday For A Girl

Good morning,

Another creation for fun!

At work, we have a birthday this week, so I decided to make this little card for the birthday girl.

She is made completely out of kaleis, and is kind of a "Tim Horton-style" graphic. I made a cute little envelope that seals unusually.

My granddaughter saw the envelope, and said, "Can you make one for me, too?"

She came yesterday at about 4 or so to spend the night.

We bought Spiderman 3 and all watched it together last night. Taylor really cracks me up. I am aware of two cuss words in the movie, and both times, she said, "I don't think I was suppose to hear that!" When Peter does his little dance as the Black Spider, she grins. And when it was over, she said, "THAT was INAPPROPRIATE!"

This is from a seven-year old.

She spent most of yesterday with her mom and Danny. Danny is really making some headway in her life. He loves children, and thinks Taylor is terrific. He spends time with her, whether it is joking with her, cuddling her in the rocker, or backing up my daughter in correction. One of the things he does is teach children to swim, so he LIKES children. He plans to teach Tay to swim.

I think it is all "very terrific"!

Have a great Sunday! Back tomorrow.

Saturday's Flower Design

Good morning!

And the weekend is here!

This creation is just a fun little design using kalei and special effects.

The flower is a kalei.

I had another kalei flower on it, but decided to use special effects on it. This is the outcome.

Have a really great Saturday!

Back tomorrow.

Stationary Notes

Good morning,

Yesterday's note pad/stationary leaned more towards boys, so this one is for the girls.

Of course, kaleis are usually somewhere in my art.

It's Friday again ... and I'm looking forward to the end of the day.

We have all our daily work in, but I was unable to complete it yesterday. If I had, I was going to take today off. But, it wasn't meant to be. So off I go very soon.

Make it a great Friday. Back tomorrow!

Good Buddy Note Pad

Good morning!

This is another "posed-bear" creation. A cute note pad for the guys or gals. One last little ghost remaining from Halloween.

So, did you have oodles of kids for Halloween?

We usually do, but we didn't last night. I did turn on our light to alert passers-by that we were home. Our Halloween time was from 6 to 8 p.m., and I only saw one little group of 3 or 4 come to our door. And that was in the first hour.

I finally went to bed, and my husband said we had a few more, but not a lot. I still have a lot of candy left, which I will take in and put in our candy bowl at work. It's all minature chocolate bars.

Have a terrific Thursday. Back tomorrow.
