Christmas graphics AND a thyroid tip for thyroid concerns

An early good morning to all,

The above graphic is a jpg, and it's a decoration I did this morning.  It would make a nice Christmas card front, or tag for gifts.  It is free to use however you wish.  (I hope to make some accessories to go with this over the next few days.)

This graphic is the same thing, but in png format, in case you have a graphics editing program.

I am pleased to announce, to those who read my blog, that after having a "whipple" operation back at the end of July, my body seems to finally be returning to normal.  Two months after the whipple, my hair started falling out -- FAST!  Anyone who has experienced this knows ... it's dreadfully frightening.

About three days ago, my hair finally stopped ... yes!  STOPPED falling out.  What I'm getting now seems to be normal hair loss, which is great, since the two months of losing it, has left it much thinner.

Now, I am ON THE MEND!  (It should grow back in, but I don't think it will be as thick as before due to age.)

A tip for today, due to my reading, is USE BUTTER, if you have thyroid problems.  It seems that butter doesn't slow iodine uptake in your body the way margarine and polyunsaturated fats can.  Polyunsaturated fats would be canola oil and corn oil, which I used to use -- way back when.

This tip is from reading Woman's World, and comes from the 12/3/12 issue, page 16.  The article is called NATURAL HEALTH:  Stressed?  Tired?  Gaining weight?  Fix your "broken" thyroid.

Thyroid issues run in my family, so this little bit of news helps a lot.  This issue is still in the stores through Thursday.  My stores always seems to put out the new one on Friday's ... so there's still two days to pick it up.

Enjoy the graphics and the tip!

Free Graphics and png kit downloads -- and a tip!

Good morning!

Just a little "for fun" graphic this morning. You'll still find free png graphic kit downloads over at Easy As Pie Daily Graphics!

I have an interesting tip about iceberg lettuce today. Of course, I did read it in my favorite magazine, Woman's World.

Years ago, they used to say that iceberg lettuce was pretty much water, and not as full of nutrients as darker greens. I always wondered about that because I don't think there's anything that God designed that is NOT beneficial in some way.

With lots of Vitamin K, it shuts "down as many as 100% of cancerous cells on contact." Wow! Now that seems pretty MIGHTY to me.

The way I see it in reading, it acts like a policeman, not destroying, but "forces them to behave like normal cells, dividing slowly without creating troublesome tumors!" Double WOW!

And I have read more than once in this wonderful magazine, and in the South Beach Diet book, that it's okay to use a small amount of full-fat salad dressing as it helps the body absorb the Vitamin K! I never eat much dressing anyway, so a small amount is perfect for me!

A 2 oz. serving (140 mcg) amount is perfect of this wonderful lettuce and can also be found in spinach, broccoli, brussel sprouts, watercress, endive, kale or swiss chard. That's quite a group to choose from.

I love salad, and often have it for breakfast. People think it's strange, but salad is just one of those wonderful things I've always enjoyed. It's nice to know that it's SO BENEFICIAL!

Eat your salad to help stay cancer-free, and pep up your graphics and creativity, with free graphics over at Easy As Pie Daily Graphics!

Have a really great day! And thanks -- Woman's World -- for all the wonderful tidbits you give women every week in your wonderful magazine!!! (Did I mention I love this magazine? --No, I get nothing from them, other than pure enjoyment.)

Have a creative, healthy day!

New PNG graphics kit-Up for September 2010

Good morning!

This is just one of the items in my new PNG KIT on my website. The kit name is: 10s917. The first day 10s917-kit-1a has 10 items. 10s917-kit-1b has 9 items; 1 bonus graphic, and 1 bonus tutorial inside it; for a total of 11 items in kit 1b. So far; the total for this kit is 21 items.

The tutorial shows you how to take a black or white item and make colored items. It's very simple. The tutorials I will give will be "short tutorials", basically sharing how I do simple tricks in PSP (Paint Shop Pro). I use version 9, but I'm sure the tips can be done in most graphic programs, if you know your program well.

On my website, I breakdown the size of each graphic. Most are not overly large, as I do not like to constantly have to re-size LARGE graphics. There will be exceptions, but most of the graphics can be used in a 400 x 500 base or sometimes 500 x 600 base.

The PNG graphics are great for card size. Especially if you use either a word document or an excel document to create your card. They resize beautifully in both programs.

I hope you'll go check it out. Download it and try it. Let me know how it works for you.

Have a great day!
