Alll my Mice for Valentine's Day
Good afternoon,
Today, I'm posting the pictures of the little crocheted Valentine's Day mice I made.
The top picture shows the difference in size. The little hot pink mouse is like the ones I posted yesterday, but this time I took a picture with it's bow on.
The hot pink mouse was made with a single strand of yarn. The bigger white mouse was made with 2 strands of yarn, which made it thicker.
Each mouse has stuffing in it to make it like a little stuffed head.
I made the pompom noses. You can't make out the white nose on the white mouse as easily. On the bigger mice, I tied the noses on through the front of the face before sewing both sides together. The ears of the bigger mice are also stuffed.
This is the four different mice together. The white mouse, the cream colored mouse, the bigger hot pink mouse has button eyes for eyes that were sewn on. And finally, one of the 16 mice with the bow that I gave out to co-workers and friends.
I really like how they turned out. It took 2 days to make the 16 mice, 8 done each evening for a couple of hours.
It's been a wonderful holiday. The sun is shining, and it's a little warmer out. The snow has melted! Yeah!
Enjoy the rest of your day.

February Calendar, Valentine's Day mice, and FREE small flower pngs
Good afternoon!
Today, I have a basic February calendar for you. Of course, February is almost over, but I'll try to get the March calendar up earlier.
February has been a very strange month this year. A lot of days have been in the 40's, and lots of sunshine. We have had snow, usually on the weekends. But there has been a day or two where it snowed on a week day.
On Friday, the 15th, it started in the morning. I left early from work by about 1 hour and 45 minutes. I was planning on going to my daughters, but after she and her daughter had flu last week; her husband was now down with it! My husband had a vacation day, so I headed home.
It really snowed pretty good, and we had more on Saturday, and throughout the night, because there was morning snow in our street this morning! Funny ... it's supposed to be back up into the 40's tomorrow! Amazing; but I love it!
Tomorrow is Washington's birthday; also called President's Day. I am off, and that is very nice.
The last time I posted, I wanted to show you a picture of my Valentine's Day presents to co-workers. Unfortunately, my phone was NOT sending my pictures to my email box. My husband got it configured for me, so now ... I'm up and running again.
I put 8 of these little mice in a black bowl. They don't have their bows on them yet. I made a total of 16 mice. Three of them have magnets on the back of them to put on the fridge.
I wanted to make one that my granddaughter could play with. Being almost 3, she is still a little young to have items with glued-on features.
I made 3 bigger mice. One is hot pink, like the ones above, with a cream colored nose. This time, I made the pompom and tied it through the front of the face. I hope to have those pictures tomorrow.
Her eyes are heart-shaped red buttons, with a little flower sticker attached. The bow on hers is sewn on it's head between it's ears. I think this will work.
I also made a cream colored mouse, and a totally white mouse. I will also have pictures of those tomorrow.
Everyone at work loved their little mice. I also gave them a small box of candy hearts with sayings. It's traditional for Valentine's Day, and something sweet is always wonderful.
I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day. My sweet husband bought me a small orchid plant with white flowers tipped in red. I still have the orchid plant from last year, and it has little buds on it now.
He bought me some chocolates in a velvet heart-shaped box. He knows how I love keeping them to store my scrapping items in. It is beautiful.
The card he bought me is the absolute sweetest he's ever picked up. I was totally "blown away"!
And here is a little something in a png graphic for you today. These are 8 small flowers, and can be used freely in your scrapbooking or card making.
I have several kits up now on my website, so hurry on over and check them out. There is a zip file for downloading the items. Items are free, and can be found in psp, png, and jpg format.
Till tomorrow; have a great day. It's almost 4 pm now, so it's almost over.
Take care ... and enjoy!

Free Pngs, Jpgs, PSP Graphics
Good morning!
Blogger is working for me again. Yahoo!
So ... I am back with some new kits. I've revamped my website, and am offering free kits again.
They are more like mini kits, but it's a great way to add new graphics to your digital or physical scrapbooking or card making stash. (I work on a canvas of 600 x 700, so the graphics are NOT huge. I know downloading huge kits always cause my computer to belch ... and then I have to resize them to keep and use them. I don't download many at all since they are usually so huge. The graphics are 300 dpi.)
I couldn't decide whether to stay with my website, and then decided to give it another try. Everything on my old website came down! And voila! A brand new start!
This kit above is 13-0203, and it started on 2/3/13 (Sun.) and ran for six days. It ended Fri. 2/8. I present several items each day in a zip kit. They come in psp, jpg, and png format. They can be used digitally, or printed out and used physically to make your own creations.
Even though a kit has ended, it is still on my website. It will be till my website gets full, and then older kits will be taken down to make way for newer kits.
They are free to use, and to sell in any creations you use them for that you make with credit only for my graphics.
The only thing you may not do is sell them as yours. You may not put them on a disk and sell them.
Otherwise, they are completely free for you to grab and create with.
Here is one of the pngs for you grab from my blog from kit 13-0203.
This is my second kit: 13-0207. It started on Sat. 2/9 and ends today 2/11. In the zip for this kit, I put all of the items for this kit on day one. With Valentine's Day being so close, I wanted you to have the opportunity to use any of these graphics in your Valentines that you might be creating.
This kit comes with two different backgrounds, and a second saying: Crazy For You instead of Sweet Valentine.
And here is a blogspot png from kit 13-0207 for you snag right now.
Tomorrow's kit will be up tomorrow morning. I'm trying to stay a kit ahead so I always have something to publish on time.
I also now keep a folder for future kit ideas. They hold many items for future use.
I'm glad to be back ... and I hoping everything continues to work. It is very frustrating to get on a roll and then fall off ... due to technology. Sometimes its just life that causes a lapse in publishing, too.
Enjoy the graphics.

Wednesday: 2/10/10: Wishing You Were Here
Good morning ... oh ... it is just now 12 noon. I hear the whistle blowing. So ... good afternoon! For all those who are separated from their loved ones on Valentine's Day ... here's WISHING YOU WERE HERE!
Well, I took today off to maneuver around the possibility of MORE snow. So far, we don't have anything more.
I wish it would've just gone on and snowed like crazy. Let everything close, and send everyone home early. Oh well.
I am hoping that this is the last day I have to take annual leave for possible snow.
Our parking lot was not that great yesterday. The crew that is doing our snow cleaning is NOT as good as it was 2 years ago. I heard from a co-worker yesterday that it's because they are contracting it out now. We used to have an engineer in charge ... and he had a crew. They were on top of it all the time.
Since I've already fallen too many times ... and I never got my arm surgically fixed, and still have limitations with it, I have to be really careful. Also, I have osteoporosis in my spine ... and I just can't afford to be falling on slippery ground ... or anywhere else.
We have a good-bye party at work tomorrow for our district chief. He's moving to a new department, even though he hasn't been with us a year. We don't know who our next chief will be. I'm taking in hot dogs, coleslaw, and cookies. Need to get to the store to pick up those items today.
Friday, I am off, but not annual leave; thank heavens. I see my doctor in the morning, and there's tests to run. It won't be bad.
I'm longing for spring. I'm done with cold ... snow ... ice ... winds that cut like a knife ... and just ready for some green sproutings! And some springy new colors.
Have a really great day.
My daughter and her family are moving into a beautiful new home this Saturday. She is so excited!!!!
Have a wonderful day!

Tuesday 2/9/10: I'm IN Love!
Good morning,Getting ready to wish someone a Happy Valentine's Day? This little creation is something kids might enjoy.
This little guy is in love ... and is expressing himself the best way he can.
While I am posting this day ... after the fact, I'd like to note here ... that we had another big snowstorm today.
The day didn't start off too bad, but by 9 or 10 am, it was snowing. Big, big flakes. And it snowed, and snowed, and snowed.
It began piling up quickly.
I knew it would probably make for a long trip home. And they were predicting more snow for Wednesday. Oh my! I certainly did not want to make that trip!
I left an hour early on Tuesday afternoon. It still took too long to get home, and I slid three times. Had I left at my regular time, there would have been more cars on the road ... and my second slide, would surely have been a collision! I'm so glad I left early. As it is, I bounced off the mound of snow at the corner where I turn onto the street leading into my subdivision. And then began sliding toward the cars waiting to turn left. Panic rose inside me, but I took my foot off the break, and just did my best to try to correct my slide. It worked.
But, I'm sure I caused a little concern to some of those sitting there ... waiting to make that left-hand turn. I'm sure they thought we were about to have a "close encounter".
A lot of co-workers were all talking about maybe calling off the next day. We have to call in and make contact with a supervisor. I thought, "What if the supervisors don't make it?" "What if everyone is calling off, and it's just too hard to reach someone?"I decided it would just be smarter to put in another leave slip. So I did. After all, if our company DID close, I was allowed to simply tear up my leave slip.
I am really looking forward to winter ending. I am tired of using annual leave to get around snow days!
I made this creation here to add to my computer screen savers. For Tuesday's.
Hope you all have a terrific day.

Friday's Valentine's Day Graphics
Good morning,Valentine's Day is coming ... coming ... coming!
It's time to start planning our cards.
Today, and for a time, some graphics to snag and use for your projects.
I like both of these very much. How would you use them?
Due to forecasting a big snowstorm due to hit our area, I took today off. I didn't want to take a chance of falling, and re-injurying my arm ... or my back.
So far, we've had a few snow flurries.
Oh. I just looked outside, and the ground is now covered, and it's snowing pretty good. We just might get that 4-6 inches they predicted.
Earlier, I was sure I'd wasted today by taking a day of vacation, but now I'm feeling better about it.
My car would have been covered by tonight, and the drive home would have been maddening.
I'll just wait it out in the warmth of my little home.
Here's a second creation for today.Make today a great one!
Enjoy.

Make Your Honey a Card 4 Valentine's Day
Hello all,Have you bought your Valentine's Day card yet? NO?
Well. Why not try your hand creating your very own using some accessories I've made at my website. They are free, and easy to copy and paste into Excel. If you know anything about doing art in Excel, you can create some mighty nifty items!
Feb. 1st through the 4th features lots of pinks to add to any red hearts you've picked up. Run over and check them out. This picture to the left/or above, depending where publishing puts it, is one of the examples I use for 2/4.
I am currently a day ahead on my website. Wow.This second picture is about 7 items also available. Just so much to choose from.
Check out each day, snag what you can use, and get creating! It's easy. It's fun.

Be Mine, Valentine!
Good morning,Only 2 more days till Valentine's Day; not counting today, of course.
Be mine, valentine! is the creation for today. If you'd like to use it for the front of a card, that's okay.
The flower is another of a million kalei's I like to create. I am always amazed at how varied they can be.
Be mine, and ONLY mine! is a phrase you could write on the back.
Hope you are making big plans for your sweetie this Valentine's Day.
Have a great day.
See you soon.

The border was made from the kalei'd flower.

I Love You -- From Tay
Good afternoon! It has been ages since I've posted here, I know. I apologize.
I also have a blog over at Eons, and I do have additional posts there as well as in some of the groups I'm in.
Valentine's Day is quickly approaching. I took this picture of Tay this morning. Can you believe she woke up crying with a sore throat, fever, and upset stomach? You can't tell it now.
A little medication, some breakfast, and some one-on-one time massaging her feet put her in a healthier frame of mind. Although she is 7 years old, she still enjoys her mamaw "hand feeding" her, which I did this morning. It was so wonderful to see her smiling again.
Tonight, she, papaw and I will meet up with her mom and boyfriend for dinner out. Mom was going to pick her up early today, but I asked Taylor if she wanted to stay, and she said yes. She is resting, and watching movies today. Even little girls need a break once in a while.
I've missed posting, and hope to become more regular again.
I am back to working overtime at work, which was halted for the Christmas season. That leaves me pretty drained when I get home. And, I've been sleeping in more lately. Just seem to need the extra sleep for now.
Have a great day! See you soon.
