Refreshing Flavored Waters, Clay bird, and free snaggable pngs

Good morning,

It's Monday, and the start of another work week.

I made this creation above after visiting www.theyummylife.com.  She has lots of yummy items on her site.  I loved her flavored waters, and they are so clear and delicious-looking, but I have a hard time not blending the berries.

So I made my own, blending the whole berry.  It was delicious!

You should check out her site though.  It is full of wonderful recipes.

In the creation above, I made the flower, took the picture of my cocktail, and the little bird with a flower is one of my clay creations.

Clay Heart with a Flower Face and a free flower png frame to create with

Good morning!

I'm back with a mixture of my artwork along with a clay-sculptured heart decorated with a little flower face.  It was shown previously, but this post is basically featuring it as the only clay creation today.

Anniversary Project Up Close

Continued from my previous post: Here is a picture of my little sculpey owl.  He was originally made to make into a pin.

Carelessly, I dropped him, and his right wing broke off.  I could not find the piece that fell in my office where I do my art.  Someday, it will turn up.  I had a little blended color from the original project, so I made a new wing, baked it, and glue it on; then glossed it. 

The eyes are movable eyes, the kind that move when you shake them.  I glue those on after my projects are baked and cooled.

Here is my little sculpey flower I made.  I made two of these, and never used them, so I thought I'd add it here.  You can see the wired pearls in this closeup.

And last, but not least ... the butterfly was bought at Michaels or Joanne's.  They come in a set of two, and I hadn't used either, so dedicated this one for this project.  The flower was made from kleenex/tissue paper.  I used an ink pad to get the darker rose color on the edges.

That's pretty much it.  I didn't show you the butterflies or bling gems.  They are standard fare that you pick up for scrapping projects.

I plan to make more of this type of project, but in small sizes.  Perhaps for a birthday or other gift.  This particular project is about 8.5 x 11 just for the photo.  The base extends out beyond that, so it is a fairly large project for me, but perfect for hanging on a wall to show it off.

Saving with thrift store items, such as the nightgown I purchased are cheap and fun to use on projects like this.  This was a huge-gal gown, and it has ruffles and lace on it, which I also plan to use.  Its wonderful.  (I didn't know how big this nightgown was until I got it home, and tried it on.  OH MY!  It fell right off!)

Sunday Color Me Flowers Fun!

Good morning!

It's Sunday morning, and its been awhile since my last post.  I'm still been creating though.

The picture this morning is one I call give me flowers or color me flowers.  The picture above is a jpg, and it is a flower design I created yesterday.

The big flower was reduced 50% and then 50% more to get the small flowers.  On the two small flowers, I added to layer effects to get the changes.  I love playing with layers.

The above picture shows the flower big!  This is a png, and free for you to snag.  Isn't it pretty?  Can you find a spot for it your scrapbooking projects?

Another png, this time, making a border out of the big flower which has been reduced.  This shows the versatility of using these pngs.  You can take them and make additional items with them.

My husband and I just celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary, so next I'll post the wall card I made for him.  It is now hanging on our wall in the kitchen/dining room.  We celebrated a quiet day.  For dinner, we ordered in some Chinese food, which was delicious.  We spent the evening watching Netflix movies.  All in all; a very good day.

I also sent out 2 packages yesterday.  One to my mother-in-law, and one to a friend I correspond with and make little gifts for.  She's a widow, and a very kind lady.

My husband lost his job at the end of March after 12 years with his company.  His company fought his unemployment request.

He found a job with a temporary service, so he worked for four days, and then trained on a Sunday for another week-long job, which he just finished.  He's starting a permanent placement by the temp service tomorrow morning.  Unfortunately, they did not tell him where to go, and he tried to reach them on Saturday.

He will get ready tomorrow for work, and call them until he finds out where he's going.  He has a general idea, but they didn't give him the details.  He may be a little late, but it is due to the temp agency.

Our income has dropped, so things are a little tight right now; hence letting my website go.

I'll just keep blogging along, which thanks to blogspot, is free.

Free Christmas Tags: A Tip about traveling with your pet/s

Good morning again,

Since the big day is almost here, I thought I'd use my previous day's post for some of my own Christmas tags.  I really like zooming in on a creation, and filling the tag up with it.  This one above is actually my second tag, but it was posted first.  Oh well.

You may snag these tags.

I print them out in my graphics program, but you can also save the image and open a word document and insert it.  If you click on the graphic, which usually goes in fairly small, you will see you can grab the ends and stretch it out to make it the size you wish.

They print out beautifully.  Punch a hole through where you wish, and string ribbon or yarn though it and tie it to your ribbon.  Or just stick on the package using tape or foam or glue dots.  I stick my tags on with a quilled circle to help it stand up off the package.

Hope you are almost ready for Christmas.  I have lots of wrapping to do still, but at least I have some tags to use.  And I'll probably create some more this morning.

I wanted to post a little tidbit I learned while reading Womans Day.  I tore it out of the magazine till I could remember to post it.  (It's from the September 2012 issue.)

Both my sons and their wives own little dogs.  They are their children.

This tip would be a good one for them to know.

I don't know how much they travel with their dogs, but if they do, and you do, too, you should know that you need to get a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection from your vet.  It tells that your animal/s do not show signs of contagious disease.

If you are unfortunate enough to caught without it, you could pay between $100 and $1,000!  It varies from state to state.

WOW!  I didn't know that!  Did you?

Monday morning Flower Fun

Good Monday morning,

Just a little flower fun today.  I like this quote.  We are each unique ... and should thrive in our uniqueness.  I hope you are.

This is the first part of my creation.  I was just having fun, and making flowers.  Also there are two borders in there. One of the flowers can be a frame, with just a word inside:  such as UNIQUE.

And here are your pngs for today.  I really love this simple little flower and it's colors.  Use the free graphics in any of your own creations.

This border is horizonal in the final picture, and vertical in the starting picture.  You can turn it in a graphics editing program (rotate).

Flowers for Thursday: Flowers Always

Good Thursday morning,

Today, I'm sharing 4 flowers plus one altered flower.  The altered flower is the one at the very top right.  It's the same flower with the red center, but skewed to lay on it's side.  It was in the offerings, under the cherub or elf, yesterday.  The gift tag.

I always say, "A scrapper can't have too many flowers to scrap with", so you'll find plenty of them at my blog.

A Free Christmas Tag For YOU!

 A very good Wednesday morning to you!

Today I'm offering this little Christmas tag with a snowman and a cherub on a flower.  The above is a jpg, but you are free to print it off and use it on Christmas presents.

For those that have a graphics progam (you can still use, even if you don't), here is the border, in case you'd like to use for a base for other scrapbooking or card-making projects.  The individual items are pngs.

This is a cherub I made back on 4/2/11.  I made the flower this morning, and put the two together.  The original cherub had a blue dress, and she was darker.  This graphic has also been reduced down for my tag.

I used a picture of my sculpey snowman before, but here he is again, this time in a tag.  That's the beauty of having tubes of my work.

I didn't like this little sculpey creation so I've since sliced him up, and used his clay in other items.  Ha!  Ha!  That the beauty of re-purposing art I don't like.  But, I took a picture of him before re-purposing him.  He has been offered before, but has been lightened and mirrored.  He had also NOT been baked yet.  Even ugly things have a use.

Christmas tags will be on lots of presents.  I hope you'll find a use for mine.

Flower beginning: from start to finish

Good morning all,

 

A little creation to start my day off. 

 

 

Putting it all together to make a special "quote" creation.

 

 

This flower is from much earlier in my creating days.  I pulled it into this creation and reduced it in size, which you can do in any graphics editing program.  It is in png format.

 

 

When I start my day creating, and actually these were created yesterday, Saturday, but posting them today, I begin by picking colors I like together.

I go into my Corel Painter 12 program and pick my colors and add to the my canvas.  I save my finished colors as a png.  I then take my colors into my psp program where I can work with them better.

I do many items and then put them together until I get a look I like.  Sometimes I'll stack items to make a more complex graphic.  That is what is what the flowers below are.  They are also all in png format for you to grab and use freely in your own creations.

You may reduce them, add to them, recolor them.  It's up to you.

 This flower is my first, and I worked with several different centers to see how they looked.

This is my starting flower at the stop.  I took the second flower and reduced it several times.  In the next three flowers, I stacked my starting flower with the bigger small flower, and another with both stacked.  The third is with the smallest flower alone.

A Sock Bear and Artful Christmas Graphics: Free pngs.

 

Christmas Cheer for the Holiday Season!

Good afternoon,

I spend a lot of time on pinterest.  I love pinterest.  It's addicting.

One of the things I found on it was a sock bear.  You can find it here:

It was so darn cute, and I thought I pinned it.  I searched all over, and cannot find it, so I did a quick google search, and found it right away.

So when I went grocery shopping yesterday, I picked up some white Hanes socks.  And last night, I quickly tried my hand at my first bear sock!  He's featured in the first two pictures.  The art work is mine, of course.

I went into Corel Painter 12, and picked some colors I liked and put them together, and then into Paint Shop Pro to create the art work.

I took a picture of my little bear, and pulled him into "the shop" and edited him to put him into my art work.  If you follow me, you know I love doing this kind of thing.  Since Christmas is coming, I thought he was perfect.

I made my bear, and then crocheted a scarf and flower hat for him to keep him warm.  He's kind of rough for my first attempt, but I learned a lot in crafting him, and "thank you very much" to the creator of this tutorial!

I also am amazed with fantasy flowers, and above and below, you find two I created this morning.  I love the colors ... again done originally in Painter.  They really shine!

All of the items above are in pngs, so feel free to download the graphics and enjoy.  Perhaps they'll find their way into one of your Christmas creations this year.

I was reading my Woman's World magazine.  The current one is available in the stores until Friday this coming week.  It's the December 10th, 2012, edition.  In it, I learned that adding 1 cup of beans daily for five days, will help you lose 1/2 to 1 pound a day, without changing any of your current eating habits.

The beans help you feel satisfied and full, and helps cut the fat down in your waistline.  I just have to try it, so this week, that's what I'm doing.

Pick up the magazine to find out more ... I don't receive anything from them, but I just love their magazine.

Today I made macaroni and cheese for lunch, and drained and rinsed canned black beans.  I added 1/2 cup to the mac and cheese.  It was delicious.

I've found that beans are terrific tasting in almost any dish.  I do need to pick up some "beano" though, as I get quite noisy from the beans.  Embarrassing.

When my kids were little, I made Kidney Bean Lasagna.  To them, that was lasagna.  I don't think they even realized it was meatless.

I recently told my second husband about this, and even though he cooks lasagna with ground beef, he added kidney beans to it and declared, "Hey!  I wouldn't have believed kidney beans would actually make my lasagna taste better!"

My kids also were treated to baked beans served over a slice of bread when they were growing up.  This was a wonderful meatless meal.  Makes me hungry just thinking about it.

I plan to make about 16 of these bears.  The package I bought had 8 pairs of socks, and it only takes one to make the bear.  I plan to give one as my "white elephant" gift at our Christmas party at work this year.

New Free Flower Png: Corel Painter 12/Yeah!

Good Evening,

I am back with a brand new flower png.  It is free to you to grab.  I hope you enjoy it.

I'm excited today because I bought Corel's Painter 12 program.  It's normally $429.00, but is on sale until Cyber Monday ... tomorrow.  A great price at $199.00!  It's my Christmas gift to me.  (It's been a hard year!)

This flower was started in Painter 12.  It turned out beautifully.  I love the colors.

I love all the brushes and effects you can get.  And the shading and mixing is to die for!  I really like this program, and I haven't even "brushed" the surface yet!  Pun intended.

And for me ... a lot of the fun is in flowers, although I do other graphics.  But I just love those flowers.

I also did a little bear graphic this morning, and an orange dot face.  Perhaps I'll post those tomorrow.  Come back and check.

The weekend is almost over now, but lots of people will still be shopping online and on location, I'm sure, through tomorrow.

I went shopping with my daughter yesterday.  I was able to get most of my gifts for my two granddaughters, and something for her.  I was thoroughly exhausted when I got home.  It was still early, but I went to sleep and slept till 12:30 am, and was still sore when I woke up.  (I am still recovering, I think.)

I am not buying for everyone this year, but mainly keeping it closer to home.  The economy has taken a real bite out of spending, and with my surgery, and five procedures this year; a lot of change has been dropped on medical bills.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Today, I have two pngs, the owl "I am Blessed" graphic, and the outline butterfly and flower png for you to color.  Feel free to download both and use.  And have a terrific Thanksgiving!

I am blessed to spend our meal today with my daughter and her delightful family, and other family members.  I am taking mashed potatoes and gravy to this wonderful gathering.

And for all the delightful kiddies that are celebrating Thanksgiving with you, just download into a word program, and click on it to get squares to edit it.  Pull a corner to make it bigger, unclick.  Add the child's name to their page, and print it out.  Do one for each child.  (Hope you have some crayons!)  Give it to them to color for extra fun.

Color Me Flower

Good morning,

There are many coloring pages out there today.  My black and white graphics have always been available for you to color.  Just go to http://www.easyaspiedailygraphics.com, and download any of the graphics.  It doesn't matter if they're already colored, or in black and white for you to color.

In this simple flower, I've colored mine above.  It was done digitally, but you can do them by hand also.  You can get depth by coloring the inside of an item a lighter color, and using a darker color around the edges.  It's amazing how much depth you can add ... by hand.

And this is a png graphic(above), so if you download it, and open it in a graphics program, you can color it digitally.  It should have no white background in a digital program.

I have tons of new graphics you can color today, so head on over and pick some up.
