New Free Flower Png: Corel Painter 12/Yeah!

Good Evening,

I am back with a brand new flower png.  It is free to you to grab.  I hope you enjoy it.

I'm excited today because I bought Corel's Painter 12 program.  It's normally $429.00, but is on sale until Cyber Monday ... tomorrow.  A great price at $199.00!  It's my Christmas gift to me.  (It's been a hard year!)

This flower was started in Painter 12.  It turned out beautifully.  I love the colors.

I love all the brushes and effects you can get.  And the shading and mixing is to die for!  I really like this program, and I haven't even "brushed" the surface yet!  Pun intended.

And for me ... a lot of the fun is in flowers, although I do other graphics.  But I just love those flowers.

I also did a little bear graphic this morning, and an orange dot face.  Perhaps I'll post those tomorrow.  Come back and check.

The weekend is almost over now, but lots of people will still be shopping online and on location, I'm sure, through tomorrow.

I went shopping with my daughter yesterday.  I was able to get most of my gifts for my two granddaughters, and something for her.  I was thoroughly exhausted when I got home.  It was still early, but I went to sleep and slept till 12:30 am, and was still sore when I woke up.  (I am still recovering, I think.)

I am not buying for everyone this year, but mainly keeping it closer to home.  The economy has taken a real bite out of spending, and with my surgery, and five procedures this year; a lot of change has been dropped on medical bills.

Quick Frames for Scrapbooking

Good morning!

It's Black Friday, and I imagine everyone is out shopping ... except me! I hate to shop, and dread starting my Christmas shopping. I love to give gifts; I just hate all the running around and trying to find the right thing.

So Happy Shopping to all you shoppers!

As for me; I think I'll just stay home and ... create!

Today's creation is a type of quick template, without all my writing over it, that can be used by you ... insert a picture where the yellow flower is, and viola! A personalized picture. Add your own words.

I actually created this quick frame for blogger, but I do have another very pretty one posted over at Easy As Pie Daily Graphics for 11/25/11. Run over and check it out.

I've started EAPDG blog ... on my website, and today, I shared how I get my inspiration for shading and colors. You might find it an interesting read. And, if you do, why not leave a comment at the end of that particular article. It doesn't post online, but I can add your comments if you wish them to be added. Basically, it just sends me an email, letting me know a comment was made so I can read it.

While I use my graphics for lots of things, I love to use them in my scrapping and scrapbooking. I use them in my cards, in my sculpey, and any way I can think to use them.

Why NOT snag them for your own scrapping projects? Put them in your scrapbook. Cut them out, paste them onto cardboard or thicker papers and add them as decorations to your creations. It's lots of fun!

I really love creating. And one day, when I can finally retire, I hope to be creating FULL TIME.

If you have a frame I've posted that you'd like to have a picture of a loved one in, please write me, and send me the picture. After its created, you will get the jpg back, as well as a word document with the picture posted inside for you to print out on photo paper. It's very easy to do. Frame it; give it as a gift! They're marvelous!

After all, YOU deserve the BEST!

Thanksgiving was wonderful yesterday. We had a lovely meal, and a very restful day. So much to be thankful for. I heard from all 3 of my children; and that is always such a blessing.

One thing I'm thankful for are joyful surprises! On Tuesday, after working way late, then stopping by my daughters, and finally the grocery, I was so tired I could hardly wait to get home.

Bending down to read items on a shelf, a little elderly lady came around the corner. She kind of stopped, and looked at me. All of a sudden, she said, "My! What beautiful hair you have!" Immediately a smile crossed my face, and I gushed, "Thank you!" It was such a little thing, but such a joyful surprise. She'll never know how much she brightened my hard day! "Thank you, whoever you are. It was so thoughtful and kind!"

The next time I notice something extraordinary about someone ... I'm going to tell them. Joy can surprise you when you least expect it!

Good morning!

And THANK YOU, Wall Lights! For leaving a comment the other day. While the blog does take a little time, the website takes even more. I love making my graphics, and I do hope others take them and use them. So thank you so much!

Some days, there's news about my hamster, Betzy, too.

Today, this little girl or angel, are both available. The decorative background is one layer, but it is transparent, so you can choose the color to set it on. There is a green one, and a gold one.

Christmas is such a short time away now. I hope you are all set to go.

I hope to have my 10-year old granddaughter for a visit one day and night this week. She and her family will come over for our celebration on Christmas Eve!! I'm so excited.

My husband special-ordered one of her gifts that we just couldn't find. The store called yesterday, and told him it was ready to pick up. He went and got it ... so she should be very excited this year.

I still have shopping to do for my 7-month old granddaughter. And my husband! I am off all this week, so will get that done early. I am on vacation for the next 2 weeks, and that will give me lots of extra time for my graphics.

I had a luncheon celebration on Thursday with my school-aged granddaughter. It was very nice, and I thoroughly enjoyed it and my day.

Our annual district Christmas party was Friday, and that, too, was very enjoyable. I made 3 sculpey items: minature Christmas tree decorations, for our white elephant gift game. Twenty-six people decided to play; including me. This is my most favorite tradition of our party for many (and me!).

There are 26 presents and 26 players. The presents all sit together, and we each draw a number. I was #24. The #1 player was a guy, and he was seated at our table, two seats down from me. He chose my little wrapped gift box. He didn't know what they were, till I told him, but he thought they were cute.

My co-worker and friend sitting across from me had a number that came up. As per the rules allow, you may pick a unknown, wrapped gift, or "steal one" from a gift already opened. She has a minature tree at work on her desk, and I'd made a teddy bear ornament for it, so, of course, she stole the 3 new ornaments. She was delighted!

Unfortunately, and to MY SURPRISE, it was stolen away almost at the end by my supervisor's supervisor: a man! (Sorry, Tiff!)

All and all -- it was great fun! And I stole a lady's bear frame with 2 matching bear sculptures. Like I said ... it was great fun!

Now all this week -- there have continued to be many new graphics going up each day on my website, so don't let another minute pass without heading over and grabbing them. Just tuck them aways in a folder. Folder: EAPDG > (folder) 2010 > (folder) December > (folder) the date of the kit. That was easy!

12/21/09: Two days of free graphics

Good morning!

I ... am on vacation! Yeah!

I had more time this morning, and I love the outcomes when I have more time.

Take this deco box, if you like, and use it to decorate a scrapping project. I just loves these colors together!

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. My website and blog took second place to getting my Christmas shopping done! And, so it is!

This morning, I'm wrapping everything, and I'll be getting it out today. I hope it still gets there in time.

This second offering is done in 3 stages on my website. You can print all 3 out, and then put it together for dimension. Add it to some creation you're putting together.

As for shopping, the prices were great this year. Due to the recession, I know everyone is cutting back. I managed to get all my Christmas items for about 50% of the cost I normally spend. There is a good side to the recession, I guess.

I also did a homemade gift this year for family and a few friends. I put some 253 graphics on a cd, and designed a cover. Putting the whole thing together took about 4-5 hours. But actually burning the CD was much faster.

I made a few extra copies. The graphics all came from November and December of this year. I'll have to see how people like them. If they do, I'll do it again next year.

Hope you have a productive day ... no matter what you're up to. After today, I can relax. Except for cleaning my little office. That will take a few days, but I'll feel so much better when it's done. And, I'll finally be able to find things again.

Fri. 11/27/09 Little Notes

Good morning,

My second post is for this Black Friday!

This is a big shopping day for many people. The merchants look forward to this day as well!

This little note could be used many different ways.

Use it as a thank you note, or a shopping list.

You can find the topper to this note at my website, and design a larger version for yourself.

Personally, I will not be out and about with other bustling shoppers. Crowds can be very suffocating for me. Instead, I will take a few days in December and do my shopping while others are working.

Do you have any shopping traditions that you follow?

When my kids were young, my husband and I always took a day off from work together, left the kids with a sitter or went while they were still in school, and made a day of it. Almost all our shopping was done on this one day.

I'd have a list of everyone I was buying for, and write down what I bought for each as I purchased items.

We left early. Most of our shopping was done together. We'd break for a nice lunch together and then start again. Before we finished, we'd split up, and shop for each other.

Making a day of it always lessened the tension and worry about getting it done. It was very enjoyable.

I've been doing a little shopping during September and October, so I have a few items. And, of course, there is "online shopping", which I've done in the past.

I prefer to give gifts that are enjoyed, and then gone, usually. Most people are pretty good at getting the things they really want themselves, but a nice fruit/gift basket is something great at this time of year.

If someone you love has a hobby, you can steer your gift giving in that direction. And, of course, gift cards always work!

Baking is also a favorite activity at this time of year. One of my most favorite gifts at Christmas, when I was a little girl, was the box of homemade candy that we received from my grandmother each year. Mashed potato candy, divinity, fudge ... it was just too wonderful!

I was forunate to get several recipes from my grandmother before she died. One was her mashed potato candy recipe. It was a tradition in our household. One potato can make a pretty big batch of candy.

I made some last year, and took it to work. I've found that it's best not to tell what it's made from, as most people scrunch up their noses. But if they get brave enough to taste it, they are very surprised. It doesn't taste like potatoes. And it can be very addicting.

Have a great shopping day today! Don't forget the wrapping paper, bows and ribbons. As for gift tags, why not make your own this year!
