Decorate a card today!

Good morning,
This morning, I made a card front for a friend.
That's an old picture of me.
I believe I was about thirty-something.
Probably late 30's.
I like the card front on black.
Here is a png of the front card.
You chose the picture to put in it.
Here are some additional flowers I made
to go along with decorating the
rest of your card.
Unfortunately, I am still having trouble
getting my blogger to post my words
against the left edge.
The background paper is a seamless
background I made for this card.
And here is another border flower, and
three additional flowers to decorate
Have a wonderful Sunday.
P.S.  It is another beautiful Sunday in
my city.  Yesterday was the same.
We are expecting frigid temps very soon.
I believe it's coming in either tomorrow
or Tuesday.
I am off tomorrow.
I work at home on Tuesday and Wednesday,
so I won't be dreading it til Thursday.
I'll be bundling up!

No Picture Icon Upload button for now

Good Tuesday morning,

Ahh!  Went to post again this morning to get caught up, and still no icon appearing to upload pictures.  I started searching around for answers, and Blogger knows this is happening, and is trying to fix it.

Until it is fixed, there will not be pictures.

You gotta love the internet!  (And, I really do.)

Thanks ... Blogger.  Hope it's fixed soon.

Till later,

Trying To Upload Pictures

Good morning,

It is Monday morning, and I'm trying to post for several days.  Unfortunately, blogger is not showing the box in the upload pictures loader, so it makes it kind of hard to share.

I'm sure this problem will be fixed soon.  When it's working, I'll upload.

Friday Free JPG for a little note card

Good Friday morning!

The weekend is almost here ... and we'll being "Taking Time To REST".  And play, of course.

The is a jpg, and it would make a nice little note card.  Of course, there may be other ways you want to use this free graphic.

Actually, the history of this graphic is this.

When I had my whipple surgery back in July 2012, I had to take two months off for recovery.  "Flat on your back" kind of recovery.  Besides the pain of the surgery, it is extremely painful to lie on your back after only a few short days, much less two months.

There wasn't much to do except watch tv, but the constant showing of the same shows over and over again got boring fast.

I couldn't sit at my computer.   Sitting up an hour or two or three a day was all the exercise I could manage.  So being creative, and having to try to do SOMETHING creative each day, I went back to sketching by hand.  This helped a ton ... because it took my mind off my pain and made me feel like I was accomplishing "something".

I had bought a hard-bound journal just for sketching before surgery.  I had new pencils, new ink pens, colored pencils and I made a template for making some flowers.   I filled every page of that journal before I could return to work.  Not only did I fill it, I filled about 50 typing pages clipped to a clipboard.  Lots and lots and lots of sketches.

This sketch was done on 9/17/12.  After completing those sketches, I wondered what to do with them.  I was able to scan this particular sketch, and then I used it to write a thank you note to someone who took time to send me a card.  Finally ... a useful purpose.

The sketch was just in pencil and black and white ink.  There was a time I tried coloring it in, on the digital I had left, but I wasn't happy with it.  So, I just saved it.

But this morning, I decided to try it again.  This would make a fine coloring page for kids (big or little).  There's lots left to color.  I only colored in the background, did some shading of the leaves, and colored just the frog in.  I love how it turned out.

I replaced the writing I had on the original, which said, "So sweet."  I digitally added "Taking Time To" and left my hand drawn REST in.

Go on and snag the jpg, and enjoy using it.  I think they'd make cute notes.

Have a wonderful weekend ... and I'll be back tomorrow.

Free Scrapping Orange and Green Accessories: pngs

Good morning,

And it's Thursday!  Today's pngs are some colorful accessories to decorate your scrapbooking and card making with; yeah!

Orange colors have a vibrant intensity.  You sense warmth and excitement.  According to Woman's World (1/9/12 issue, pg. 21), studies show it can even raise your body temperature!  Wow!

And green is great.  Staring at green can ease eyestrain and tension.

Use accessories digitally or print them out and put them together yourself.

Tips for using:  Make a word circle with the top one:  one or two words in the center.  A blue word would be pretty.  Make a border out of the small ones.   If you use the one with the leaves, reverse the image each time. Or put the pointy end OUTward.  Use three of the plain flower in three different sizes.

How would you use them?

Easy.  Fun.  And FREE!

Enjoy today!

Free PNG Decoration for Scrapbooking or Card Making

Good Wednesday morning to you all,

Today, I've headed back into my folders to pull this decorative box out.  It comes from June 21st of last year.

It is in png format, and can be used as a decoration in a scrapbooking project or in card making.

I work from home today; alas, my vacation has come to an end.

I am starting my journal for 2013; different from my art journal.  I showed you the journal example back in December (around the 16th, I believe).  It has pictures of me and my family from our past, and some of my artwork I've done.  It has the weather for the day and a quote.  I hope to put together a journal for this year.  I'm pulling it all together in a word document, and hope to save it to disk for my kids.  It should be fun!

I hope you all have a productive day, and that you're fully recovered from New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Here's to a great 2013!
