Tuesday mornings free graphic

Good morning,

Just a little fun creation this morning. If you can find a use for it ... then enjoy.

Yesterday turned out to not be such a good day.

I got to work, and after about 2 hours, I became ill, and had to come home. It came on suddenly. I don't know if it was something I ate ... or already there, but not obvious yet. Strange.

Anyway, I'm back up and running today ... as far as I know.

I also had a touch of vertigo again with this strange bug. I've been having vertigo off and on for several months now. Inner ear problem?

Or well. I'm not going to worry about it. I really hated leaving so abruptly as I had a lot I wanted to get done, but the way it was going, I was spending more time in the lady's restroom than at my desk.

Here's hoping for a really great, productive day today!

Take care.

Monday's Free Graphics -- For Girls

Good morning,

Ah yes! It has been a good morning; other than having to restart my computer.

I've accomplished a lot already this morning. I did my FUN FIT this morning, and then 3 full-version songs in JUST DANCE. I really love GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN and WOMANIZER. I did Womanizer two times. Got in over 30 minutes! Terrific!

My granddaughter came over yesterday with her mom. Her dad wasn't feeling too good, so he stayed home. I hope he's feeling better this morning.

She set up her Fun Fit profile and did the initial setting up, played with Just Dance for quite a while, and then actually played the Sims Kingdom for about 2 hours, while her mom and I watched and chatted. She challenged both me ... and her mom ... and papaw to different songs in Just Dance. We did it. And laughed and had a great time. This was a great buy. I hope to see Just Dance 2 ... and on and on! These are so much fun, and a great way to get me off my behind!

This creation for today is something little girls might like, and maybe even big girls.

I still have to get my Journal-Lane post up, and my graphics website is done ... and then I need to get into gear. I still have my lunch to make, and to get dressed ... so I'm done here.

Have a great day!

Sunday morning FREE GRAPHICS

Good Sunday morning,

I used this little guy I created yesterday, and featured him, again. I made a little stool for him to sit on, and came up with this creation.

I had a squiggly worm ... from my past, and then had to come up with a comment to post on it.

The guy likes the worms "coils" ... they are so CURLY.

Just a little fun for me today.

I went grocery shopping yesterday, and bought two items for my Wii. My granddaughter had been wanting JUST DANCE ... and I found it. I just love it!

I also bought FUN FIT, the workout program which comes with the camera. Very nice. I also like it. I did a mini workout yesterday, and spent a lot more time dancing with the JUST DANCE. What a blast!

I hope they continue to make more JUST DANCE-type Wii games.

I also cracked out my Wii Sims Kingdom. I got that at Big Lots for $10 last weekend when I was looking for JUST DANCE, which I couldn't find then. My granddaughter did not care for Sims Kingdom, but I like it a lot. I spent about 2 hours yesterday playing that.

I am still fairly new to the external-type game world: x-box (even though my husband has one and has bought games I can play). I have Wii Sports, and I love the bowling, the golfing, and the tennis.

My arm did very well yesterday, although during my workout, I babied my right arm. The video kept saying, "Watch that arm." I thought, "Gee. I'm trying to baby this arm so I can continue to workout." I hope that doesn't lower my score.

My score continues to improve in JUST DANCE. In Sims Kingdom, sometimes it takes me a long time to figure out what I'm doing ... just trying to get to that next gift! Sheesh!

Have a really great Sunday. I know I will.

A card: Happy, Happy -- Joy, Joy card

Good morning,

Well, I did get my website pages up yesterday. They must have been working on the site.

Today's posting also went well.

Today, a card! This is called HAPPY, HAPPY, JOY, JOY. The back of the card is just left white, unless you care to design it yourself.

On my website, you can pick up the individual items. The frog is separate as well as his shadow. You cut out the card base, glue on the shadow, and then the frog.

On the inside, the left is left as is. Again, on the right inside, is the card base, an orange base with an edging of black around it, the deeper yellow base with black edging, and the JOY JOY sticker. Cut those out separately, glue on the orange base, then the deep yellow base, and then the JOY JOY sticker to finish your card off.

Add your own greeting, and you're done.

Cute card, I think.

Have a wonderful day. (I just heard thunder as I'm posting this ... so perhaps we're having rain today.)

As for me, at work, I will be in a customer service class all morning. It is mandatory training, so I'm getting it over with today! (Actually, I've heard it's a pretty good class.)

A template for a card or scrapbooking page

Good morning,

Or is it? I am actually having trouble with my website that features free graphics this morning. I went to publish it, and it just isn't publishing.

I will give it a little time. Hopefully, it is a temporary thing.

I have one item posted on it that won't delete. Hmmmm. Quite unusual.

This is the template I made that features the items offered today.

I also posted my finished creation.

I will try publishing again before I leave for work.

Have a great day.

Sammy - One Terrific Cat

Good morning!

My creation today was created for my wonderful cat, who is no more.

It has been almost 2 months now since I lost him, and I found some pictures I had of him.

His eyes have the light caught in them, and I did not fix it as I liked the effect. I matched the color of the letters of his name and one terrific cat to that color.

It's Tuesday morning ... and back to work for me.

It's been a lovely 4 days off.

Take care.

Card or Scrapbooking Template-Free Graphics

Good morning,

I am playing in my scrapbooking program again this morning.

I designed this little template, so I can pull it up and add to it any time.

Snag it, if you want. Start a card out of it.

A friend of mine and co-worker, witnessed a woman hit by a car on Sunday night. She died yesterday.

The bad thing is, my friend said she walked out into traffic without even looking.

That's an awful thing to have happened, but we train our children to look both ways before stepping out into the road, and then don't do it ourselves.

I know when I have to go through downtown, I see people do this all the time. They walk ... even when their light tells them it's not time for them to walk. They don't look at you at all, but just walk right into the street, knowing that you'll stop for them.

But what if you don't SEE THEM!??

This is a careless attitude. The driver of the car was not charged.

C'mon! Let's act like the adults we are. Let's model the behavior we teach our children. We teach more when they are observing than by just saying what they are supposed to do.

It's a tragic thing. For everyone. I am very sorry for her family and friends. This didn't need to happen.

So check yourself! Are you looking -- before you cross -- or just assuming that the people driving will stop? Think about it.

Have a safe ... and a good day!

Mon. 1/11/2010: Frame and Little Cartoon Lady-Free Graphics

Good morning!

My post this morning is a frame that is on my website today.

I made this little cartoon lady, and placed her in it.

I put no saying with it, as this is a blank for you to use, if you wish to snag it.

Yesterday, my granddaughter came to spend a few hours with me. We had a wonderful time.

She loves to play the Wii, so that's what we did with some of our time yesterday. We played one game of bowling, and I beat her by one point. Believe me ... this NEVER happens.

We then played a game a golf where she slaughtered me. And 2 games of tennis. She beat me on both of these!

Tennis is much more strenuous for my right arm which I injured back in June 2008. It was an injury from work, so it was a federal workman's comp claim, which almost no one knows how to process. Therefore, the tears in my right shoulder joint were never fixed.

While my arm is usable, I am very limited in what I can do. We bought the Wii for Christmas in 2008, after playing it at my granddaughter's house, because I thought it would help strengthen my arm. In the beginning, I thought it was helping, but eventually realized it wasn't because my pain increased.

Therefore, I had not really played it until last weekend. I over did it with the tennis yesterday, but we had so much fun. But, I can feel the nerve pain back in the lower portion (from the elbow down into my right hand) again. Ugh! Not bad ... but it's there anyway.

Since I played about 2 hours last weekend (but played no tennis), and then this weekend (and did play tennis), I think it was a bit much. I need to forgo the tennis ... even though I like it a lot.

Life. Isn't it fun!

I hope you enjoy the free graphics today. My website has 2 days of postings, so grab them while they're up.

Have a great day.

Sunday 1/10/2010-Template for A Card or Scrapbooking Card

Good morning,

This template was one I made for my nephew's birthday. The finished card is different from this as I added birthday items and sayings to it to send.

This template is blank, so you can use it, if you wish.

My husband gave me a scrapbooking maker. I placed this template into the program, so I can add my own templates, and graphics to it.

I spent most of Saturday and Sunday playing with it. I made 3 wedding pages from my daughter's wedding in it to send to my sister in St. Louis. She came for the wedding, and I thought she might like the pages.

Then I made a page for my nephew's birthday, and also my nieces.
It was 2 days of fun. Thank you, dh! I love it!

Hope you can snag this one and use it.

Have a great day!

Good morning!

Another wonderful day to create new items. I had lots of fun this morning!

This is a little summary of some of the items I did today. All of these items are available -- free to use -- today, at my website. Tomorrow; they're gone.

Feel free to pick them up today and use them in your creations.

There's 5 papers, and lots of little fantasy-type graphics -- again, my favorite type of art.

Many of the individual items, I've done into borders.

Well, it's the weekend and a time to relax and let go of all the weeks worries. That's what my artwork does for me.

The bad winter storm with lots of snow (about 5" inches altogether) from Thursday is over. All that is left promises to be a frigid weekend, but we are expecting some sunshine later in the day today, and more of that tomorrow. The winds are supposed to be a little more this weekend making our cold temperatures feel even colder. But -- that's winter, I guess.

There was a very bad crash during the storm on Thursday. A semi lost control, crossed the median on the freeway, slamming head on into a bus carrying a small load of passengers. The driver was a friend of a friend. She was killed.

My heart goes out to her family. My own dad died in a semi truck crash with 2 other passengers. I remember the shock of his sudden death, and how much it affected me for so many years. Even today, I hate being around a semi on the freeway. It is one time I will speed up ... just to get past it.

Time does heal all wounds ... but right now, the grief is fresh! My prayers go out to all of you that were affected by such a big loss. Two teenage children without their mom, and it's going to be hard ... for a long time. God bless you during this time.

A total of 4 died in that crash. According to the news, they are still investigating.

My friend's husband is a truck driver, and as a matter of fact, SHE used to drive a truck. She said that 4 other trucks pulled off the road to rest for the night after seeing the destruction from the accident. They decided nothing was worth the risk for now. It was time to sit and ponder.

For the most part, drivers were courteous during the storm.

But ... there are always those self-absorbed individuals whose foolishness leads them by the head. There were those on the road, too.

To those, I only say this. An accident happens in the flash of a second. If you can only think of yourself during these times, and getting to where you have to go, without respect for the others that are less assured of their journey; then think of one of your loved ones ... losing their lives to someone whose thinking is mirroring yours. Let this thought slow you down!

It is only for a short time. These storms pass. But the loss of lives, and the foolishness of whoever causes it, whether it was your fault or NOT, will haunt you for a lifetime. And there will too many to think about, living with your act of foolishness. Their lives ... will never be the same again.

Have a blessed day, everybody.

Graphics Galore - two days free graphics today

Good morning,

Two days worth of graphics today in one post.

This little Cowboy Square goes to a frame featured on my website today. You can pick everything there up -- today only.

I do lots of little girl things, but don't often do little boys. I had 2 boys and a girl when I had children, but today, I have mostly granddaughters. Therefore, I do mostly little girl items.

This little item was my post for Thursday; yesterday. He is also on my website today as well as the border.

Again, this one is my fantasy side coming out. I love creating little people you don't see everywhere.

Altogether, there are 24 items to pick up today; not just 6. I promise 3 new graphics each day, as long as I am able, but I often put up more, so you really get a good deal here. Especially since they are all free. Free to use however you wish. Don't claim them as yours; I created them. But put them in any creation ... and the creation is yours.

We had lots of snow yesterday. A 30-minute trip took me just a little over an hour and a half. I hate those kind of trips. I was able to get up to 45 mph on the freeway, but only when no one was around me. Most people went about 40 mph, and traveled in packs. I like to stay away from the packs.

I don't know if we're going in yet today. I wish they'd just let us work from home, as I do have my laptop.

Hope you are having a great morning, so far.

If you like to journal, please remember to check out my other blog:

You'll find daily questions to answer. Post them in my comments to share them online, but keep privacy items ... private. Or, use the questions to do a year of journaling to scrap and pass onto family. These questions will give others stories and your point of view on many items.

Keep it safe today.

Wednesday Morning Hump Day Blues - Free Graphics

Good morning,

Ahhh! It's HUMP DAY.

I was surprised recently when I heard someone say they'd never heard Wednesday referred to as "hump" day.

I've posted Hump Day themes before, but it's been awhile. So this little creation is to celebrate HUMP DAY.

But NOT everybody loves hump day. After all, with 3 days left to work ... what's to celebrate.

But for me; it's mid-week ... and after today, it's all downhill.

You can pick up the individual items on my website; today only.

Hope you enjoy your hump day!

Color Me In Frame Box - Free Graphics

Good morning,

Something simple for today ... at least for me, but a challenge for you.

I left color out of this frame box, and you color it in. I started the hearts.

Use whatever medium you wish. An editing program, pastels, ink, whatever.

Give it to the kids to color in. Have a contest with it.

This and other outlines can be found on my website today. A couple of flowers, and a really nice box to use. It's a little simplier to color in.

Have a great day!

Mon. 1/4-Driving Me Buggy Graphic-Free Graphics

Good morning!

So, everyone has a person or a situation that just drives them buggy.

In honor of driving others, yourself, or whomever ... buggy! ... here's a little buggy deco to add to scrapping projects.

It's back to work for me this morning.

I'd had a simply marvelous two-week vacation, but all good things come to end ... and that drives me buggy!

Of course, in these hard times, I am so thankful for a good, stable job. So buggy or not ... I will go in ... rested and happy after such a "l-o-n-g" time off!

If you like these graphics, pop over to my website to pick up the goodies for today.

This item and several others can be picked on my website for today as well. I have several days posted as I didn't get them up on Sunday.

1/2/2010: A decorative template, and Daffy needs coffee!

And it's a very good morning ... this Saturday morning!

My creations today are posted. My website items are up, and after I do this blog, my Journal-Lane post will be put up.

Check them all out, please.

This basic template to the left, I found at Scrapbooks, etc. It was just the frame and lines for boxes.

I took it and added the items I would like to use.

I made the decorating elements, chose all the colors, and made all the background papers.

This little guy is posted on my website today. He's daffy!

The morning is starting all around him, and he's frazzled. He has NOT had his cup of coffee yet. I'm sure there are days when you know that feeling!

Well, little daffy! I'll get you a nice warm cup of joe .. right now!

I actually made one other creation, but I'll post it tomorrow along with the one I'll make for tomorrow.

I hope you enjoy seeing some of my artwork. It is so much fun to create!

Have a great day, and enjoy the weekend. (I go back to work on Monday; so I'm feeling a little like daffy right now.)

Take care!

1/1/2010: Double Post for 2 days: Happy New Year!

Good evening,

I hope you had a good New Year's Eve, and that you're not hung over today.

I went to bed last night, and totally missed the ball.

This year was the first year, I believe, that my granddaughter did not spend the big evening with me. It was just a lazy evening for us.

My creation today: Happy New Year

There are 2 days worth of items on my website.

Yesterday got away from me, and I did not get things posted, so it's all there today. Grab 'em, if you want 'em.

This was a creation I did that was just playing around.

I posted it for yesterday's creation.

My granddaughter called me today out of blue. It was so thoughtful and nice.

She wanted to come over to my house, but her mom said they are just taking it easy today. I know she wants to go to the store, since she didn't get what she wanted the other day. I promised I'd take her when she does come over.

They will probably be over sometime this weekend. Then we'll go.

My vacation is almost to an end. Just the weekend left, and then back to lots of work, I'm sure, on Monday.

It has been a wonderful 2 weeks off. I will never hesitate to do this again. It has been so refreshing and relaxing.

Have a great evening.
